After over 2.5 years researching and writing, I'm delighted to say that the manuscript is now with the publisher. At a little over 80,000 words this is an acheivement in itself, one I couldn't imagine not too long ago.
So, what now?
Well, I have about a month before it's returned to me with edits and comments (and hopefully no major re-writes.) In the meantime, it turns out there's a lot of forms to complete and image rights to be approved. I'll then have another month to work on it and then it's out of my hands with a release date (if it's good enough) of Feb-March 2027.
In the meantime I want to work on this site to create a resource that's useful for anyone who wants to know more. Key to that will be edited sections of some of the interviews I carried out, if the interviewees give approval (all interviews were done on the condition I would check before printing anything).
